DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS –MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters, and exclusion from health care in nearly 70 countries. In emergencies and their aftermath, MSF provides health care, rehabilitates and runs hospitals and clinics, performs surgery, battles epidemics, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centers for malnourished children, and offers mental health care. When needed, MSF also constructs wells and dispenses clean drinking water, and provides shelter materials like blankets and plastic sheeting. MSF is a nongovernmental organisation which both provides emergency medical assistance and bears witness publicly to the plight of the people it assists.

SAVE THE TAIJI DOLPHINS After driving pods of dolphins into shallow coves, fishermen kill the dolphins by slashing their throats with knives or stabbing them with spears. The dolphins take about six minutes to die, the water turning red with blood and the air is filled with their screams. Japanese fishermen kill approximately 20,000 dolphins and whales every year.
