Meditation
“Thoughts come and go, they are transient, momentary. Notice them and let them go, returning your attention again and again to the breath.” - Kathleen McDonald
Meditation is an art and a discipline. It takes practice to become proficient, and some may be better at it than others. But everyone can, and in this hectic day and age, needs to meditate.
It is important to try a variety of different types of exercises as some methods will work more effectively for you than others. Meditation is most effectual when you choose a regular time and place to practise the techniques.
Ideally we need to make every activity in our lives a practice in meditation, in mindfulness. Mindfulness is living each moment with full awareness. But such a goal takes time, and we just want to take the first step—regular meditative practice.
